Lucenta's PII redactor is a detection aid, not a certification that your data handling meets GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, or any other regulatory standard. Pattern-based detection catches structured data like emails, phone numbers, and card numbers reliably, but it does not detect names, home addresses, or other free-form personal data. Treat its output as a first pass, and have a proper data-handling review for any regulated use case.

The profanity and toxicity checker uses semantic similarity search, tuned to catch real toxicity while avoiding flagging genuine disagreement or sarcasm — but it will occasionally produce a false positive or false negative, as any automated moderation system does. The score and matched terms returned by the API are provided so you can build your own judgment on top of the result, not as a final, unappealable verdict.

Lucenta depends on infrastructure and services it doesn't control — Cloudflare's network and AI models, Resend's email delivery, Google's advertising — and can't guarantee their availability or behavior. Outages or changes in any of these can affect Lucenta's own availability, including the ability to send sign-in links.

You decide what to do with the API's output in your own product. Lucenta flags and detects; it doesn't make the final call on what content to remove, hide, or store — that decision, and its consequences, are yours.
